Nathan Levinson was a Bradenton, Florida city worker who lost his job fighting for the lives of stray cats living on Manatee county property, where he worked. He was fired for feeding a specific group of cats, organizing a catch and release program for them, and failing to remain silent in regard to city and county policies connected with their treatment, as well as the treatment of animals, in general.
We watched Nate save the lives of many animals across Sarasota and Manatee counties in the state of Florida for over a decade, and like many other activists, we watched him suffer for it (emotionally, financially, etc.).
Nate was a true superhero, and he will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace, brother Nate.
