Crush Videos Banned in U.S.

On Thursday, December 9, U.S. President Barack Obama signed into a law a new bill that bans “crush” videos, after the Supreme Court struck down an earlier law banning depictions of animal cruelty because it was overly broad. In its April, 2010 ruling, the Court did, however, state that it was refraining from deciding whether a more narrowly tailored law would be constitutional.
